Capacitor substitution box, providing decade of capacitance. Used to introduce an adjustable capacitance into any electrical circuit.

Switching arrangement is 'Make before Break' so that as selection is made, the capacitor box cannot create an open circuit.

Two terminals are fitted for the connection of either wires or 4mm banana plugs.

A third terminal is provided for earthing or shielding of the housing.
