The Current Balance is a modern variation of the old PSSC experiment “Measurement of a magnetic field in fundamental units”. Use the Current Balance for a far more accurate, quicker and simpler method of determining the magnetic field due to a current carrying wire.

Eliminates the need for complicated equipment that may cloud student understanding and the resultant force can be directly measured using a small electronic scale (optional extra) – no more fiddly pieces of string.Any electronic balance can be used provided the capacity is at least 200g and the accuracy 0.01g.
