A hydrometer is an instrument used to measure the specific gravity of a liquid. Specific gravity is the ratio of the density of a liquid to the density of water. The scale on the side ranges from 1.0-2.0 in .01 divisions.
What You Get
One hydrometer. Dimensions: 30cm. Mass: 9g
Teach

How it works
Fill a tall container, such as a measuring cylinder, about three-quarters full of the liquid you wish to test. Place the hydrometer gently into the container, bulb first. Give it a little spin to dislodge any bubbles. When it comes to rest, read the specific gravity from the scale.
