Three aerated compartments enable students to view the entire decomposition process clearly and make side-by-side comparisons among different materials. A great way to teach decomposition, composting, life cycles, and environmental education.
Learn all about the life cycle of materials while conducting awesome experiments! This kit is the perfect introduction to composting and environmentalism, teaching you everything you want to know about the effect of different materials on the earth.
With three compartments, this composting box lets you compare how quickly three different materials decompose in soil. Each compartment has a thermometer so you can monitor the temperature of the soils and see how that relates to the composting process as well. Compare a banana peel to an apple core and a fast food drink cup and see what turns back into nutrient-rich soil the fastest!
The container comes with a faux grass lid to keep the soil and materials inside. Air holes are included, and each compartment features a magnification spot so you can see the details of the composting process.
What you get:
30 x 10 x 20 cm clear plastic box with faux grass lid divided into 3 clear-view aerated compartments with magnification spots, 3 thermometers and a guide
