Learn about Quantam Physics
The Planck constant is central to the understanding of quantum physics. First proposed by Max Planck in 1895, it showed that light consisted of discrete particles, later known as photons, and that their energy was related to their wavelength. The Planck constant is used in atomic theory, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principal, the colour of LED’s, and other phenomena.
Requires a micro ammeter, a 20V meter and a DC power supply, this low cost experiment is suitable for Year 11/12 Physics.
