They are called metamorphic as the immense heat and pressure down there causes igneous and sedimentary rock to morph into new rocks! They physically transform, but did you know that they also chemically transform?! Insider tip... Gneiss is pronounce 'nice'!

What you get
Bag Includes 6 metamorphic Rocks: Phyllite, Gneiss, Quartzite, Marble, Slate and Hornfels.
Phyllite – Reflective sheen, usually grey black or greenish
Gneiss – Banded apprearance and texture, usually light in colour has ribbons of different coloured minerals.
Quartzite – White to plate grey colour, grainy surface with sandpaper texture.
Marble – Wide variety of colours, medium grained texture.
Slate – Dark dull lustre, fine grained texture, smooth
Hornfels – (Fine) granular texture, hard, contains small crystalls
