When the sun shines on its back, it starts to dance. A fun solar energy learning tool.
Meet the solar cockroach. He likes nothing more than to jump around in the sunlight. When the sun shines on the cockroachs solar paneled back he starts to do a funny jumping dance that will have everyone smiling. Use him to demonstrate the workings of a solar panel and clean, green solar energy. A great educational toy that is lots of fun.
Cockroach is approximately 4 cm from head to tail.
How does it work?
No batteries required, the suns light does all the work. When the cockroach is in direct sunlight, the solar panel on its back converts the light energy into electrical energy. The generated electrical energy, in turn, powers the micro vibration motor causing this kooky critter to jump about. A strong artificial light source like a spot light can be used as an alternative to the sun. A fun way to learn about solar panels.
